The HAVEN project was represented at Ecomondo 2025, one of Europe’s leading events on green technologies and sustainable innovation. As part of the programme, the project partner RES4Africa Foundation took part in the Africa Green Growth Forum on 6 November 2025, contributing to discussions on energy access, green investment, and the role of partnerships in accelerating Africa’s sustainable transition. These themes closely align with HAVEN’s mission to support the decarbonisation of energy systems through advanced hybrid storage solutions.
On 7 November 2025, HAVEN was also present at the session “Strategic EU R&I Projects for the Green Transition in the Mediterranean and Africa”, organised by Ecomondo STC and APRE. The side event brought together European Commission representatives, programme leaders, and research organisations to discuss how EU research and innovation initiatives, such as Horizon Europe and PRIMA, are driving sustainable development and climate resilience across the Mediterranean and African regions.
The session highlighted the strategic importance of R&I cooperation, showcasing successful collaborations and emphasising the role of innovation, capacity building, and long‑term partnerships in enabling a fair and sustainable green transition. For HAVEN, participation in these discussions reinforced the project’s contribution to Europe’s broader efforts to support clean energy, grid stability, and technology‑driven development across neighbouring regions.
By engaging with key stakeholders at Ecomondo, HAVEN strengthened its visibility within the Euro‑Mediterranean innovation ecosystem and reaffirmed its commitment to advancing hybrid energy storage solutions that support the green transition in both stationery and mobility applications.
