The Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (INEGI), a key partner in the Horizon Europe-funded HAVEN project, will participate in the 12th International Conference on Industrial Ecology (ISIE 2025), taking place from 1–4 July 2025 at the National University of Singapore.

Organised by the International Society for Industrial Ecology (ISIE), this prestigious biennial event gathers leading experts, researchers, and stakeholders in the field of industrial ecology to explore cutting-edge advances in sustainability, circular economy, and systemic innovation. The 2025 edition of the conference is guided by the theme “Interconnectivity”, reflecting the essential interdependencies between industry, society, governance, and the environment, a theme that aligns closely with the objectives of the HAVEN project.

As a demonstration and technical partner of HAVEN, INEGI will present the project’s integrated approach to Hybrid Energy Storage Systems (HESS), which combines high-energy and high-power battery technologies with cognitive power electronics. Through this participation, INEGI aims to highlight HAVEN’s contribution to resilient and sustainable energy systems, particularly its relevance in the context of urban infrastructure and industrial symbiosis.

By showcasing HAVEN at ISIE 2025, INEGI will engage with an international community of sustainability professionals and explore opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange. The event will also serve as a platform to promote HAVEN’s innovative methodologies and the role of digital twins in optimising the deployment of hybrid storage solutions across Europe and beyond.

Full details about the conference, including the call for abstracts and special session proposals, can be found on the official ISIE 2025 website.
