The HAVEN Project has released its second official press release, marking one year since the project’s launch under the Horizon Europe programme.

The release highlights the key achievements from HAVEN’s first 12 months, including progress in developing a smart, modular Hybrid Energy Storage System (HESS) that combines high-energy batteries, high-power storage, and cognitive power electronics. These technologies are designed to support both grid stability and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

The anniversary was marked by an in-person General Assembly held on 21–22 January 2025, where partners gathered to assess project milestones and shape upcoming activities. A central feature of the meeting was the Eco-Design Workshop led by INEGI, which focused on improving the sustainability of stationary energy storage systems and minimising the use of critical raw materials.

As HAVEN enters its second year, the consortium remains committed to advancing safe, sustainable, and efficient energy technologies that contribute to Europe’s climate goals and enhance the competitiveness of its battery ecosystem.
