The growing demand for efficient and sustainable energy storage solutions has never been more urgent. As part of the Horizon Europe framework, the HAVEN, SMHYLES, and HIHELIOS projects are at the forefront of innovation, developing cutting-edge Hybrid Energy Storage Systems (HESS) to enhance energy resilience, grid reliability, and sustainability. This webinar offers a unique opportunity to explore the latest advancements in modular and sustainable energy storage and engage with leading experts driving the transformation of the energy sector.
Agenda:
- Presentation of the HAVEN Project – Designing smart, modular, and scalable hybrid energy storage systems
- Presentation of the SMHYLES Project – Developing safe and sustainable hybrid storage for long-duration energy services
- Presentation of the HIHELIOS Project – Demonstrating high-energy and high-power hybrid battery storage solutions
Panel discussion: What are the biggest opportunities and challenges in Hybrid Energy Storage Systems?
Who Should Attend?
This webinar welcomes industry professionals, policymakers, researchers, and the public interested in the future of energy storage technologies. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the role of HESS in advancing energy transition goals, supporting the electrical grid, and enabling large-scale deployment of renewable energy solutions.
About the Projects:
- HAVEN – Smart, Modular, and Scalable HESS
HAVEN aims to design and demonstrate a highly modular, scalable, and sustainable HESS with advanced cognitive functionalities. The system is optimised for high-energy (HE) and high-power (HP) capabilities, providing multi-service support for grid operations and EV charging infrastructure.
